Thanks to your rockin' volunteer groomers, there'll be skiing, snowshoeing and fatbiking all over the world (or at least the county) this weekend! South Park (just off Brundage Lane west of Sheridan Avenue in Sheridan) The trail has been dragged and packed, and the skate lane has been smoothed and widened. Cutler Hill Nordic Trails [...]
12-14" of Champagne Powder at Sibley Lake and Cutler Hill Nordic Trails! Your volunteer groomers rolled everything at Sibley today in preparation for additional grooming and track setting on Friday!
South Park is groomed and ready to ski! This in-town loop just off Brundage Lane in Sheridan is .88 miles around. Cover is a bit thin and there's some slush at the cattail crossing, but with more snow in the forecast things are looking good!
Volunteer groomers dragged all trails at Cutler last night, and we dragged and set tracks at Sibley (all but Blue Creek Loop) this morning. We've had about 3 inches of fluffy new white stuff, so conditions are perfect and it should be a great weekend for skiing! Don't forget our Moonlight Ski next Saturday, February [...]
Happy New Year, Black Mountain Nordic Club members! We’ve got 6 inches of new snow on the mountain, and your volunteer groomers are heading up Tuesday morning to get things spruced up so you can enjoy a bluebird day of skiing at the Sibley and Cutler trails! Temps will be below freezing in the early [...]
Your Black Mountain Nordic Club volunteer groomers will be out on the Cutler and Sibley trails Friday evening, grooming the 2-3 inches of new snow we received this week. Saturday will be overcast but temps should be perfect for skiing in the mid-20's. More snow is forecast for Sunday, so keep your fingers crossed!
Christmas break is a great time to ski and snowshoe with the family! Cutler is groomed and ready to go, but not much new snow means hills can be a bit icy, so take care in those areas. Skiing may be a bit fast. Remember that it’s still early in the year, so there may [...]
Your volunteer groomers packed, rolled, and set tracks on all trails at Sibley this morning! The snow is holding up well. The temperature was cool and groomers did not encounter much ice. We have had a little new snow in the past day or so and the trails are looking great!
After 2-3 inches of new snow, the Cutler Trails are groomed and ready for a weekend of fun with your canine buddies. With clear skies, the skiing should be beautiful, especially early morning and late night when the temperatures are below 32 degrees.
