We packed all the trails for the first time today. There is 12-16” of snow on most of the trails, with a few bare spots in the areas that get a lot of direct sun or where the trees capture the snow. For the most part everything has good coverage. We rolled part of Cutler, Dead Horse and machine packed everything else except Tie Hack, we did not do. Things are pretty rough and lumpy for now but we have a good base.
Something we could use right now is a plastic tub sled. We could use it to haul snow to the bare spots on the trail. All the areas have good snow nearby and we can fill it, drag it and tip it over on the bare spots instead of waiting for mother nature to fix the problem. If anyone has one we could use for a weekend it would be appreciated. I don’t know the proper name but they sell them at Shiptons. They come in different sizes, something 4-5’ long would work.
We hope to have the newsletter and renewal forms out by the first of December.
Happy trails,
Curt
