Greetings,
Clint packed Cutler Wednesday afternoon and Hermes, Matt McMeans and I groomed Sibley tonight. There was about 6-10” of pretty heavy snow but it groomed up well. Tracks were set on Dead Horse, and Prune Creek. Blue Creek Loop was also packed and rolled. Hermes also packed the South Park trail Tuesday evening.
This weekend’s weather looks great! Lows in the 20’s and highs in the low 40’s. and light winds. After three weekends of rather unpleasant weather this weekend should be nice.
On the lost and found side: There was a aqua and purple knit hat found on the Sibley trails this week. If you lost it contact me. Tonight we brought down one of the snowmobiles for repairs and I backed my trailer into the snow bank right where the trail leaves the parking lot to load it. When I did I must have broke off the trailer license bracket. It will be to the right of the trail as you are climbing up the bank to leave the parking lot. I will probably be up there Saturday but if anyone is going up tomorrow please look for it. It is the small trailer plate.
We have made a small change in the main trail going to the hut just past the upper Tie Hack junction (J). There was about a 100 yard stretch of trail that was real off camber, impossible to groom flat and hard to skate on. The new trail parallels the old one, is flat and it takes out the sharp corner at the bottom of the hill. It is a little bumpy right now but a few more groomings and it will smooth out.
Happy trails,
Curt
