Greetings,

Tom, Matt, Rod and Clint are headed up Friday morning to work on the trails.  The plan is to take back up one of the machines I damaged packing the Blue Creek loop, cut some fire wood for the Hut and give the trails a fleshing up with the Ginzu’s.  There has not been any snow this week so the trails will be firm this weekend.  The weather looks good for the weekend with a return to more seasonal weather middle of next week so maybe we will have some fresh snow next weekend.

The trail saw a huge amount of use over the holidays and a lot of wood got used up.  Cutting wood this time of year in deep snow is not easy and they may just stack it at the hut un-split for now.  If you like splitting wood feel free to chop away.  It would help us out greatly.

Last weekend had two groups of snowshoers walk right down the classic tracks.  If you see any one doing this please point out to them the damage they are doing.  I asked the forest Service to put a sign a the trail head to make this a little more obvious.

Full moon ski Saturday night, 7:00 at the Sibley trail head.  It might be overcast so bring a light just in case is you decide to go.

Happy trails,

Curt
