Today, Tom and I hauled the firewood and stacked it in front of the hut. As soon as we get the ax up there we can work on splitting it up into usable pieces. I think we have enough to get through the winter but we will see as time progresses. There has been no new snow this week and some warm sunny days. The bare spots grew in size in the last week and some new ones appeared. We used a new tub sled that Scott Davis donated to the club to haul snow to get some coverage over the bare areas. (Thank you Scott) A lot of work, but with the impending snow and cold weather next week we should be good. The trails are still rough but if we can get 6” or more snow we can start flattening things.
The only thing we did at Cutler was tape over the skylight on the port-a-potty that the hail storm this summer created.
Happy trails,
Curt
