A fellow member reported on Wednesday there are a couple trees down at Sibley and a nice covering of pine needles on the trail.  There has been some drifting in the open areas and top of Dead Horse.  It looks like the wind festival we have been enjoying for the last week may subside a wee bit as we get into the weekend. There is some much needed snow predicted for Saturday night and into Sunday.

We heard that HWY14 was closed for a time on Sunday from the wind and drifting snow so it might not hurt to check the road report before heading out.  There is a link to WYDOT road conditions on our website under the resources tab.  When the winds blow like they have been the last week, they are usually very strong on the face of the mountain even when in town it will be fairly calm.

The plan is to groom Sibley Friday night and take out any offending trees blocking the trail.  We will use the renovators on the Ginzus to soften up the trail surface and work in the needles.  If we get a few inches of snow Saturday night and Sunday it should be nice skiing for Presidents Day.
