Happy New Year!

We hope that everyone’s new year resolution is to ski more at Sibley Lake and Cutler Hill, because the trails are in GREAT SHAPE! Santa brought us a new piece of grooming equipment for Christmas and the groomers are loving it. The Ginzu 96 is wider than our other Ginzu and it is heavier. This means it can cover more surface area, do a better job of laying corduroy, and it gives us a firmer trail. So, if you notice the trails feeling a little faster you can thank Santa!

Our goal is to bring our old Ginzu to Cutler, which should happen later this week. This will be game-changing for Cutler. It will do a better job of hiding all those post-holes from the walkers and it will help firm up the Cutler trail system too, which will be great news for the skate skiers and fat bikers. Also, as soon as our track setter attachment is finished we will also have classic tracks at Cutler Hill. It truly is an exciting time for the Black Mountain Nordic Club with all these new additions!

Sibley:
Nick and Clay tackled Sibley Lake earlier today. They tested out the new Ginzu 96 and it performed well! There is perfect corduroy throughout the trail system and perfect classic tracks on most of the system. The groomers lost a carriage bolt on the track setter when they were coming down the flume, so they were not able to lay fresh classic tracks on the 2nd part of the trail system, but the old classic tracks are still there.

Cutler:
Clay and Nick decided to also freshen up Cutler today. All of Cutler has been set with corduroy and the trails should be very fun and fast tomorrow. ENJOY!

South Park:
We will need substantial snowfall to resurrect South Park.
