Greetings,

Tom and Jim are headed up in the morning to groom Sibley.  Tom and I were at both Sibley and Cutler today doing repairs on the equipment and there was about 2” of new snow and there could be a bit more fall tonight.   We are not planning on packing Cutler this week since there is so little new snow.  I feel it would be better skiing with the fresh snow rather than packing it.

The weather this weekend looks great, near freezing for a high both days and sunny skies with little to no wind.  The trails have seen a lot of drifting the last few weeks with the high winds on the mountain but this weekend looks calmer.  Calm is good.

There is a full moon Monday night so moonlight skiing Friday and Saturday nights should be good.

Mike Boint is looking for someone that could give some instruction to a boy scout troop on February the 25th at Sibley for maybe an hour if anyone would like to help.  We will be in Wisconsin skiing the Birkie that weekend otherwise I would do it.  If you can help out please contact Mike 672-0609.

Last weekend’s chili feed had a great turnout with about 70 people attending.  Linda made 52#’s of chili and we served all but a couple cups. Thanks to those that made donations to the club at the feed.  It all helps.

I have attached information on the Pole Creek Challenge Ski Race if you are interested.  It is a fun event and like I mentioned before, you don’t have to have racing skis and a lycra suit to compete but I can loan you one if you really want one.

 Happy trails,

Curt
