Greetings,
We are still on for the chili feed this Saturday at the warming hut at Sibley, 11:00-2:00. Linda has made about 100#s of chili and several members have made cookies so no one should go hungry.
The recent warm temperatures have iced up the trails but they have received a few inches of new snow in the last day. I am planning on using the renovator on the Ginzu early Saturday morning which will loosen up the hard surface and make it more skiable. With the new snow mixed in, it should be ok. Expect spring conditions as mid-day on it will get soft. Temps on the mountain the last few days have been in the 30’s during the day and 20’s at night with 40’s predicted for Saturday.
Parking is going to be crowded so please park as to not waste space. Wydot has plowed the shoulder of the highway across from the lot, so we can park there as well if the lot fills up.
Last year the weather for the chili feed was pretty cold, so come enjoy the spring time weather and have lunch on us!
Happy trails,
Curt
