There’s really no better way to ring in the New Year (or say GTHO to 2020) than to howl at the moon on the Sibley Lake and Cutler Hill Nordic Trails! The full moon should make for some fabulous night skiing.
❄ Sibley Lake Nordic Trails – The Sibley trails have 4-5″of new snow, providing fair snow coverage with some lean spots on east and west lower Prune Creek. Watch for young “dog hair” trees in the trail at the top of Dead Horse. Snow is building nicely in the lower areas, but you may need your rock skis on the high areas. Sibley trails were all rolled on Monday this week, with the exception of the Blue Creek loop. The Blue Creek Meadow loop is groomed.

Conditions are still soft with uneven spots waiting for more snow to fill them in, so use caution and watch for rocks and roots.

The campground and the trails to the lake have great coverage and are in great shape, so you can ski those areas with abandon!

❄ Cutler Hill Nordic Trails – Things are coming together at the canine playground! Still a few bumps around Mutt Meadow, but much improved over last week. All trails are groomed and ready for your New Years’fun!

See you on the trails!
