Good morning!
We had two crews of people working on the trails last night, operating by moonlight. Although we aren’t hosting a formal moonlight ski event this month, it doesn’t mean you can’t go up and have your own! There should still be plenty of light tonight and tomorrow night! If you head up let us know by sending us a few pictures or tagging us on your social media. We always enjoy seeing everyone’s adventure.
Sibley Lake:
On Wednesday, Gordon and Joe went up to Sibley Lake and touched up the trails. They laid corduroy and set tracks around the entire trail system. Gordon also fixed the trail junction signs and maps by replacing the old ones with new ones. Thank you, Gordon, and thank you to the Bighorn National Forest for supplying us with the maps.
Cutler Hill:
Jared went up to Cutler in the late evening to do some vital trail maintenance. We now have plenty of snow so we can put up all of our blue reflective stakes so we can navigate by night when grooming.
Jared did not have time to touch up the trails, but he does report 2 inches of new snow on last week’s pack. Curt and Bob will head up to Cutler tomorrow to freshen up the trails.
South Park:
I am not sure how close you follow the weather, but it looks like there will be a solid storm hitting the Sheridan area early next week. This will be HUGE for town skiing. Keep your fingers crossed! Hopefully, we will have town skiing by mid-next week.
Memberships/Donations:
You should have received your winter newsletter this week. A big thank you to Pete and Linda for helping with that!
If you haven’t paid your membership dues for this year please consider doing it today. People have had issues with donating from their phones, so please use a computer or consider mailing us a check at PO BOX 593, Sheridan, WY 82801.
Thank you to those folks who have already donated for the 2022-23 season!
Happy skiing!
Sincerely, your BMNC Team
